Factory installed DVD players like in high end Lexus models don't work unless the car is in park.

There is some law that says a player that is opperating while the car is in motion must not be able to be viewed by the driver.

Of course, 99% of the aftermarket installs don't follow this.....just yank that puppy out if you ever get in an accident because a good lawyer will use it against you even if the other person was at fault.

Being that people who talk on their cell phones while driving can piss me off to no end, I'm not even going to comment on your watchin TV while drivin!

I only pray you never drive in Minnesota, where my family is on the road too!

the law is no video screens playing infront of the headrests while the car is in motion ( cali law)

but freeals. what about guys with the jdm console. they throw away their ebrakes. haha definately not an applicable restriction for them.

I used to give my guys one get out of jail free card, than I would fire them if I caught them bypassing video systems. Too much liability, drivers are too easily distracted.

The BEST thing to do is have a switchable defeat for the DVD system in the dash. Normal 'legal' operation unless said switch is flipped. We used to to that with the old alpine CVA-1000s.
