God Damn!!! You guys are fu***n heroes. Instead of changing cars every day of the week you guys can change consoles. One day you're car's european, the next day its japanese. Those consoles are bad ass. Massive props to both of you. Good Job and keep it up... I want more pics... Pics w/ navi consoles installed both EDM and JDM. Please PM me with them cuz im interested in upgrading

Thanks...of course there will be pics of install before, during, and after.

I will send you a PM before I list a JDM navi or non-navi, I plan on using the JDM navigation console in my Legend, having the beautiful EDM as my back-up...the others will be completely assembled for plug and play and sold.

Okay Bling, you let me KNOW when your ready!!! we just gotta work something out about that ebrake "situation". Kinda need that for driving the 6 speed "if you know what I mean", - you just cannot duplicate certain driving techniques with a dreaded ebrake PEDAL.....

Mmmm. An e-brake pedal makes me sad. I would never "drift" or whatever the devil its called in a FWD car, but if my transmission ever goes, I will have to seriously reevaluate my dreams of dropping in a six speed . If the tranny were to go, I might consider doing a USDM/JDM mix. I would only lose the vents... Oh well, my tranny is going strong... except for that 3rd to 4th slip thing, but I'm led to believe thats not serious.

I think OEM is the best look. I just don't happen to think any of the various arrangements of OEM got it exactly right all at once

That's one of the only things stopping me from getting a JDM console when I get the extra money.

Although, it doesn't seem like it'd be all that hard for a shop of sorts to just cut a spot for the ebrake like on USDM Legends. All they'd have to do is cut the spot for it and recondition that area. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't seem like it'd be all that difficult.

If you're going to go through all the trouble and money of getting a JDM console though... why would you want to tear up the wood? That makes no sense. Maybe just do what I was talking about. Get the screen bezel and a smaller A/C control and just keep the rest USDM. You'll lose some vent space, but its better than destroying a perfectly good jdm console!

who said anything about tearing up the wood? I though they were talking cutting a hole by your pedals for an foot brake (parking brake) because of the fatty armrest.

oh ok, you dont want an ebrake pedal...now I see...my bad. let me read this thread again..

Cutting a little slot out and then reconditioning it back to it's original state is in no way tearing the wood up.

Most of these consoles need to be cleaned up anyways, so why not be able to keep your hand brake in the process?

I don't understand. In the JDM consoles, where the e-brake used to be is covered in wood. In Japan they just used foot brakes because they didn't offer manual transmissions. Are you saying you'd move the hand brake back into the console? Where are you talking about placing another hand brake?

...I know it's covered with wood.

Yes, I'm saying I'd keep the handbrake in the console. That's what I'm saying with cutting the wood to make space for the handbrake again.

Basically the JDM console, but with a cutout for the USDM handbrake.

Make sense?

haha I feel you on that, Mike. I just like having the handbrake and think it'd be cool to keep it on the JDM console. Footbrakes always make me feel like I'm driving an old person sedan or an SUV...

I'm not gonna gave a JDM console anytime soon, so it's just a pipe dream, I guess you could say

i have to agree with you on this one so don't get the jdm if your gonna cut it up for a ebrake but yes it can be done but i wouldn't recomend it!
