Car 1: 1991 Legend L sedan - Persian Red Pearl

I'll save ya'll a click and postit here:

ENGRISH TRANSLATION:

2nd generation, KA7 8 legends.
After the announcing and 2 years later appearing suddenly,
It was the model which has the name "of touring".
This time, concerning this "touring" we would like to try investigating.

2nd generation legend appearing 1990 October.
In 1992 September which however, that 2 years does not pass, minor change was already enforced.

Here it is quick the beam, you thinkthat it is quickfirst to read the HONDA fact book, but....

On that, we would like to try inserting supplemental explanation with this.

As for the largest point of this "touring", there is that engine.
It was used even in NSX, HONDA V6 engine "C type".

Originally, as "C32A" of 3200cc it was loaded onto 2nd generation legend, but,
This time furthermore it reworked to that, "the TYPE II offering/accompanying 廛 ┘ 鵐 献 鵝 じ world 辰 attacking/questioning 澆 譴 ミ
"C32A - II offering/accompanying 廖 POUND
To the special heart which only, is given "legend touring"....

The tuning contents, there is also a fact book, but, it collects, it probably will solve, it becomes.

Increase of inhalation quantity - Form second look at intake manifold
- Inhalation valve large diameter conversion
- Valve timing modification
- Enlargement of valve operating quantity
Increase of aerodynamic volume displacement - Form second look diameter enlargement of エキマニ
- Exhaust resistance decrease
New introduction of technique - F1 connecting rod metal technical adoption

With these, 215PS/5,500rpm -> 235PS/6,300rpm was achieved, so is.

Is this output improvement probably to have some kind of meaning just?

On the basis of the respective engine curved line, like under it tried drawing up the torque curved line chart.
Furthermore, as for this being something which inspected the numerical value every of 1000rpm roughly,
It was not similar to the real thing very, (laughing)

If you look at this chart, the respective proud territory has been clear.
Originally, the engine (the line of yellow green), torque is thick to per 2500rpm,
"The touring" private engine (the red line), torque is risen from near 3000rpm.
Especially, in 1000rpm near idling idling, it is different largely.

In this curved line, furthermore C32B of NSX latter-term type (color of the sea),
KA7/C35A of the next KA9 legend of 8 (yellow)
It tried repeating for the reference.

Being different considerably even with the same C type engine is attached to the eye, but,
It means to have C32A ュ 兇 lotus ぃ 裡咤 悗 硲 烹 gland shoes cool 羇 屬 dormitory ュ case exactly.
You can call that, even in the sense, powerful and,
You think that thinness of low-speed torque, with you can say even in the sense that you say.
Though, if privately just this there is a torque, it does also the air, sufficient but....
(I in the past only the torque which is lower than every one of 22kgm and the figures with 1000rpm being not to occur, do, 3000NA of GTO which was riding, for the reference...)

So, why, it probably is to throw this engine?
From here, being presumption only not to be, it does, but...
"Tries using the up-to-date connecting rod metal"
The kind of air where this, is expedient, is purpose does not have to do.
On that, ", how the せ you do if, the ぜ which power probably will be put out more"
With, it reworked to also the other parts... how to think too much probably will be or, (laughing)

Well, we would like to try touching also the other modification parts.

Operation impression improvement - Throttle linkage second look
- Front brake 2 pot caliper - adoption
- Front brake disk enlargement
Acceleration efficiency improvement - Final gear ratio low gear conversion
1 o'clock reduction gear ratio 1.394 -> 1.527
- 3rd gear gear ratio high gear conversions
0.973 -> 0.948
(As for total gear ratio at time of 3rd gear
4.249 -> 4.535)
Grip improvement - Shock absorber in hard specification
- Suspension bush in hard specification
- 215/55R16 tire adoption
- Private 16 inch aluminum foil
(Size was emphasized very, dish type)

Body rigid improvement - Side frame bar addition
- Cross member plank conversion
Appearance modification - Private front grille
(Being able to verify it is not, but, this minor change in period
Most grades thinness have adopted the plated grille.
As for touring, as that way until recently used the plated less grille of sort even,
You can think. It is this it hits, would like to verify by all means)
Every one, is thought that it is something which is connected to acceleration efficiency, or the acceleration impression.

Furthermore, it is the point where why just 3rd gear make the high-speed approaching but....
When it tries inspecting, even at the gear ratio which is set to the low-speed approaching, as for speed of the maximum output time
In order to exceed the front model somewhat, what is set was found.

KA7
5500rpm KA7 touring
6300rpm
1st gear 62.5 Km/h 64.9 Km/h
2nd gear 105.7 Km/h 109.8 Km/h
3rd gear 158.0 Km/h 168.4 Km/h
4th gear 244.0 Km/h 253.3 Km/h
Furthermore, with 3rd gear together in the country they are the speed limits of the extent which does not have the edge, but (laughing),
With "touring", speed per hour 168km. It is fast rather... is.
Perhaps, the highest revolution of this engine already a little is expectation above.
When it tries inspecting then, with 3rd gear 6700 - 6800rpm, it became the calculation which reaches to speed per hour 180km.

In other words, with 3rd gear full openings, it reaches to the last speed limiter, that being to be thought, it does.
When it continues to be gear ratio of the front model, in regard to calculation at the place whether it reaches to 6300rpm, or does not reach of,
It meaning that the speed limiter operates, it does.

When it collects, in modification of gear ratio of the entire low-speed approaching, it did not make 3rd gear excessively the low-speed approaching.
Because of that, when it pulls with 2nd gear and 3rd gear, way it is possible almost to finish to turn in the range to of speed per hour 180km,
You can say that it became.

It is supplementation, but, as for the low-speed approaching final gear which is set to one for this touring,
Next term legend, it is adopted for KA9 that way.
However, minor change in period, more, "high speed it approached and" was modified but... (laughing)
Being KA9, whether even with this to have modified, gear ratio in every minor change, to be a strange side it does.

As other modification points,
- Needle of meter from white in red
This even with the inspiring vigor saber, is administered is a background which in only

Originally, like the left, thickly being to be vertical type grip shift of the め, it does, but, only "touring", like the right those of thinness,
It can give generally known gang lip shift.
Accurately, it seems like those which are used in the coupe of legend.

To tell the truth, shift form of these 2 types existed even with the first legend.
It is the う ろ remembering, but, as for the sedan as for shift and the coupe where the left is thick you think even with the first generation that like the right it was gang lip shift of thinness.

In addition, it is the gang lip the right, but, it is lack of confirmation, but those and quite form of the CB5 inspiring vigor have been similar.
By some chance... the same, as for how thing without being, the ginger....
Simply, so was even with CB5, but, it does also the air when it is being inserted in parking operation of the audio part may become the disturbance.

Is it me or do the japanese talk like Yoda from Star Wars?!

Any way, two things i notice from the JDM Type-II... The Alpha touring (woulda been awesome to have that here too) has everything the USDM offered but, the needles were red and they had the aluminum bezel... God i love the deail the JDM has over the USDM. We had one thing the JDM didn't offer... BOSE LOL I know it's POS, but still. If I was in Japan and had a JDM, that's one thing i change over... just for the USDM purposes.... --=Keith

I wonder if the gauges would work in my Canadian car, since both use kph instead of mph....

hmmmm....anyone know where I could find that??

It doesn't really matter, because I already have a guy in the states who's preparing to mod my existing cluster with white LED backlighting and red needles!!
