The easiest landmark is the oil filter. The VSS is inserted into the differential near the oil filter. The link below shows the differential, and the VSS location. To access it you will need to get under the car (safely) with ramps or a lift. The splash shield will need to be removed. The only specialized tool is the Tamper proof #20 Torx bit; and, it is available from any hardware store (Lowes, H.Depot) I will stop here; because there are already a few detailed DIYs on this site.
