Just got my Timing Belt done

Went to Vancouver yesterday to get my timing belt and water pump done. It took them all day to replace it and they put in much more labor than they qouted me for. However they did a great job and the car is working flawlessly.

I just went over 90k on my car and it is 10 years old. I looked at the timing belt they took out and that thing is looking brand new! - not a single flaw or crack. But it's better safe than sorry, I had to get it done.

All day to do? Did you take it to a Honda/Acura specialist? On the book it should take about 5-6 hours.

Only saying because I had PSA do mine and he did it under 3 hours... but i guess thats cuz he's a Acura tech...

Acura Dealer. I took my car in at 9am and picked it it was ready at 6pm. I did oil change, TB and WP. I don't think they "worked" on it all day but it took them longer than they estimated. They were saying that legends are more complicated than other cars. Too much stuff to take out to get to TB and WP.

It was very cheap! That is why I went over the border to do that.

$248 Canadian for the labor
$317 Canadian for parts (TB, WP and some AntiFreeze)
+taxes (about $80 Canadian)
- $40 Canadian GST tax that I got back at the border

Holy Crap, thats $605 Canadian (after the -$40 @ the border) which comes out to $395.42 US dollars.
Wish I lived near the border.

the current exchange rate is about 75 US cents = $1 Canadian

It has been as low as 62 cent, but US currency has been getting weaker lately
