Talking KA7/KA8 Rear Sway Bar Group Buy! Order Here

Quote:

Description:

*Not actual bar - just an example for reference with zinc plating*

The bar has 4 bolts for the "center" mounts and 1 for each end link for a total of 6 bolts. I can see a slight working space issue with the 2 center mount bolts just before the muffler. Other than that, it's straight out bolt & play. The same bar works for both the coupe and sedan.

Addco product description:

The result: your vehicle will lean less and handle better and more predictably!
-You'll have better control when maneuvering through lane changes and tight turns!
- Each bar is manufactured from high carbon steel, hardened, and stress-relieved.
- Mid and end link bushings are all urethane.
- Includes lifetime limited warranty!
- Includes Urethane Bushings!
- Gives Your Vehicle Flat, Tight Cornering!
- Balances Out Understeer!
- Provides Dramatic Handling Improvement!
- Manufactured Under ISO9002 Regulations!
- Lifetime Limited Warranty!

****Will build the 7/8"bar for $132. Please note that this would not be available without a minimum of 20 buyers.****

Production time frame is said to be around 6 weeks..

Questions:

- Payment method: Send payment via paypal to founders@legendarylegendz.com
- Please remember to confirm your shipping address

- How many people?
- Group buy ends when we have 20+ people.
- Deadline: March 22, 2004

- When will you have the product?... approximately 4-6 weeks production.
- Please factor in 1-2 weeks shipping (when it's in your hand).

What's the advantage of buying from performance center.com?
The Addco sway bars are a superior quality (the only manufacturer that makes a '91-'95 Legend sway
bar.

This thread is not to gauge interest, this is to gather fundage - full payment so the company knows we are serious.

We have over 40 folks indicating they want this, so it should not be hard to collect that. The information is in my first post. Thanks all!

How thick will this new bar be? Since the stock one is .75" diameter, how much bigger are you going to go?

And do we plan on getting a front sway bar made also?

front sway = understeer
rear sway = oversteer (better for fwd)

if you want the front stiffer... you can upgrade polyurethane bushings and endlink grommets

Why in God's name would you think oversteer is better for FWD? that doesnt make any sense. Oversteer is good for RWD, because you can control it..seeing as how our rear tires are basically dragging back there, we cant do anything about it if they start sliding (realistically).

Besides, none of us are going to be getting to the point where this will be necessary. The sway bars that will be made for our cars at least the mass produced ones will simply be to cut down on body roll, which is a big problem in our car, being luxury in nature.

The front is just more difficult, because its up in a lot of crap, so its more difficult to remove/install, and most people wont want to do it.
