did you make sure that the pin inside the ignition and the "key hole" of the electric part lined up properly. When i replaced mine i had everything closed up and the key won't turn. I took it off again and realized the two parts weren't mated properly. Use a flathead screwdriver to get the "key hole" in the the same orientation as the pin coming out of the key part of the ignition and your problem should be solved.

i had a problem like that but mine happened when i was cleaning my car, i removed everything for cleaning purposes (i.e seats, carpets). did u remove the radio because there are certain wires by the radio and cigarette lighter i think the connection im talking bout is the connection that controls the shifting of the vehicle (i.e d, r, n, d1,d2). i found out i had disonnected mine thats y my car wasnt starting. giv it a shot.

Your key might be wearing out. My original key won't work anymore because the front part wears out after 13 years.

i had the same problem with my key, but it only became a problem after i got some new key's cut at acura. After i used my new key once in the ignition switch, the old key stopped working. its only good to open the doors now.
