kick down button not engaging
Hey guys. I'm looking for some insight on this issue I'm having. I have a 93 sedan with an auto tranny. The car shifts fine through all the gears but if I floor the gas pedal in attempt to pass another vehicle, it revs like its in neutral. Once I let off the pedal, I can resume my normal speed. So basically in order for me to achieve a higher speed, I have to gradually press down on the gas instead of flooring it. There are no CEL or D4 flashing. What can this be? Or is it time for a new tranny? Like I said, the tranny shifts fine as longs as it not floored. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
