i use maguiers all the time they have leather wipes and a bottle both are contishoiners and my seets on my 95 are still like brand new but broken in and are soo nice the only proble i find with this stuff is that u can slide around a little the day u put it on and that with the wipes my bro has mised a few shifts and lost grip of the wheel they day of cleaning also the wipes when wiping a dash (if wanted to do ) u can very easily tell where u havent been (stricky) but both are very good and wipes are good to clean anything and everything

Use Turtle Wax 2001. After I got my Legend, I bought some of that Meguires(spelling??) and then I paid to have the Leather reconditioned and they told me to throw the Meguires away. They said to use only waterbased products on leather. They said that most of all the conditioners for leather will actually dry out the leather over time(not sure if thats true or not) but they said that Turtle Wax 2001 was the best stuff for it(it works great with mine!). And to keep the leather baby soft, use vasaline. Sounds stupid, but if you put vasaline all over your leather then wrap it with plastic wrap for a few days with the windows shut then the leather softens up. If all this sounds stupid to you all then, I wasn't the one who recommended it, Its the Interior shop.

Turtle Wax is the absolute worst product line ever.... everything they have practically sucks in my opinion. Try checking the opinion over at the Autopia forums....

Lexonol is a cleaner and it doesn't contain silicone. I use Maguires on my leather and it the best. Now, with new lether I don't think there is a real need to condition them. Is like waxing a car with a brand new paint job, it really isn't necessary.

you dont think its nessary but if you condition them from the beginning they will last 2 to 3 times as long thats one of the reasons most peoples leather starts to break down

....putting wax on new paint is a very good preventative measure that protects the paint against the elements (acid rain, bug guts, tree sap, and even UV rays)

Sorry, I just wanted to point out that is a poor analogy. I just had sections of my car painted and the owner of the shop (who has been in business for 25 years) even said to me it would be a good idea to wash and wax the car.

****NB my new paint has been baked already!! its not recommended that you wash or wax new paint if it has not already been cured either naturally or by baking!****

I use Lexol or Meguiar's cleaner/conditioner about once a month, and wipe the seats down with Meguiar's Leather Wipes once a week. The wipes make them really shiny...

It thought it's not recommanded to wax your paint for at least 5-6 month after a fresh paint job.
