Leatherseats.com Armrest questions HELP!!
I got my leather kit the from Leatherseats.com and the center armrest cover does not fit over my armrest shell. I have tried everything to get it on and almost broke the shell of the armrest.
Its about an inch or two too thin and there is not section cut for the cupholder to come out. I was wondering if anyone could explain if they've had a similar problem or know a solution so I can show Eric that I am really in need of an armrest here. The one I am using is a cheapo black vynyl fabric strip I ghetto rigged to cover the armrest till they sent the proper one. I've been waiting months for word from Eric and I have sent him a few emails and all I've gotten each time is a "I'll see what we can do"-type reply. Please help me! -Ryan |

Well its impossible to get the thing on, and I heard that there was a different armrest for 91 legends without armrests. I have a base sedan so I think they might have thought I didnt have a cupholder.
Anyone else help? |

If I'm not mistaken, it has something to do with the arm rest pattern being for one without the cup holder. I think that they've recently made a pattern for the cupholder arm rest though. Contact leatherseats.com to see if anything can be done.
I have one more kit that I have yet to install, and I think that I might come across the same problem with the cup holder issue. Problem is that I bought the kit quite a while back. :p |

Ryan, when I did my armrest fron the first GB, that piece of leather was HUGE! Way more than enough for an armrest with a cupholder. I had mine done at an auto upholstery shop and he put a thick piece of plexiglass underneath for reinforcement. The fat ass that owned the car b4 me had actually cracked the plastic underneath the leather by leaning on it. Big 12-sandwich-eatin' MF---

You Ba**ard. My dad cracked my console lid too... but he runs marathons at 52 y/o so he's not fat. I finally got word back from Eric saying he is having trouble finding the correct pattern they made to correctly fit the armrest. When I get it I definitely need to reinforce it. |

Ditto I had the same problem too, what I did was cut it about 1/2" all the way around and just tucked everything in and used a whole lot of glue....

My dad almost lost to Oprah when she ran her Marathon. She inspired him and his friend to keep going. Dude, I have literally 180 dollars to my name. I have to live off of this much money until early October. Next year I will for sure be coming down there with the Legend. We'll make it the biggest legend meet in History. |
