i found out that part of the factory alarm on my 91 included a hood sensor because the hood must be closed for the alarm to engage. there is a hood sensor and a harness attached to it on the radiator support underneath the bumper where that vertical bar goes down the middle of the radiator. you can unpulug your harness there (if equipped on the 93) and the factory alarm will be disabled just because of one sensor, and you can always plug it in later. hope this helps

Alarm disable

Regarding disabling the alarm by disconnecting the hood sensor:

Great idea on the hood sensor, however - I have a 1991 Legend and found that just unplugging the hood sensor did not work. I was able to disable the alarm by cutting the wires to the sensor and wiring them together. When the hood is open the sensor contacts are closed and allowing current to flow. To fool the car into thinking the hood is open (and preventing the alarm from activating) the wires must be connected together.

Just saw on another thread that an easy solution is to bend the small lever so that the closed hood does not push on the lever. Have not tried it but that seems like it would work and be easy.

There is OEM disable output

I've just installed mine - ProStart CT-3400TW Remote Starter.
Used this "Disarm OEM Alarm" output. Connected it to GREEN/RED (-) wire @ ANTI-THEFT MODULE.
Everything works just great!
