Legend Grille Mod

Hey Everyone,
So, since I was painting my car anyway, I thought it would be really cool to do a mod on the front grille using gutter mesh. All I did was:
Remove my grille
Take off chrome cover
Make template for inside of grille
cut a piece of gutter mesh (what I used) and fit in place
Replace chrome cover
Re install grille

Let me know what you think!!!

Hey, that's not a bad idea. I actually have some leftover gold. I'll think about it!

Looks very good. For myself I like OEM...but hey I'm 37 and that's how I roll...now...when I was 16-20 years old I changed everything I could on my 280zx.

You have been very busy with your Legend. What did you paint? What type of paint did you use (like you already know you and I have the same car). How was the color match? I have a spot on my bumper I want to make look better...Thanks.

edit - appears per your sig you painted the whole car...if so my questions above do not apply...

I assume you cut out the black plastic to have it deep in the grille?
How do you have that supported?
I had this grill too but not deep in it, just ontop of the black plastic
and 91LSplendid, im only 17, but i've gone back to stock
although I do like the mesh look

I actually didn't cut out the old black plastic. I used it as a backing for the mesh. So if I wanted, i could take out the mesh and still have the original grille.

Some people like to punish themselves.
There's a lot of foods and things I like to eat that I bet you wouldn't. Force feeding you those items will only (further) traumatize you towards them.

It's a 1991, that's a different grille than your 1995.

You can get the gutter mesh from Home Depot in the gutter section. The mesh is about $1.50 each
