Legend, Legend L and Legend LS???

What exactly determines a Legend, a Legend L and a Legend LS?? I was never able to figure out the difference and would some input on this. Thanks.

thanks for the info and link...it still doesn't really explain much. i guess if you see what the car DOESN'T have you can narrow it down to the model of the car!! LOL......-Vas-

Car 2: 1994 Legend GS-6 spd
Car 3: 1993 NSX-6 spd

All Type I Legends were available with either 4-speed auto or 5-speed manual, and all Type II Legends were available with either 4-speed auto or 6-speed manual transmissions. This is true for both coupe and sedan.

OK, so to determine if it is a type II you have to look at the motor or see if it has a six-speed tranny??

Easiest way to tell if it is a Type II is to look at the engine. The intake manifold will have a Type II badge on it.

Otherwise, all '93-'95 (L and LS) Coupes and '94 and '95 GS sedans come with Type IIs. All others come with Type Is unless it has had a transplant.
