Hi!
I just went to view an Acura Legend 1995 LS Sedan selling at an Acura dealership and was wondering whether it was a good price. The price quoted is $11000 Cdn. The car has almost 200,000 km on it. The colour is gold on beige leather. The condition of the car is pretty good. No tears or bad cracks on the driver's seat. The other seats are in immaculate condition. The dash has no scratches and the whole interior looks pretty well kept. No dings were spotted so I'm guessing the paint must have held up pretty good with so much mileage. No rust. All records are shown with all work being done at the previous owner's local garage. This includes the head gaskets and if I can remember correctly something about the pistons. From this forum, I can see that the gasket is kind of a normal occurence so I guess that would be normal. The car engine runs really smooth and the drive is just wonderful. The stearing wheel isn't over assisted yet is so smooth. The transmission is automatic is though there is some jerk, I would say the trasmission is still pretty smooth. One thing though is in the trunk. The base board covering the spare tire sags down. I'd probably just fix this with my own materials but was wondering whether anyone else encountered anything like this. Also, I saw that the spare tire is not a full sized spare. Being such an upscale car, shouldn't this be a full-sized...? Everything on the car seems to work from what I noticed. The car salesman that I talked to mentioned that the car was traded in by a 60-year-old man who's had it since new from the same dealership. Being so old, I'm wondering how he drove the car because of the head gasket and a little bit of engine repair. Being a one owner car and it being in such a good condition, the only thing that worries me is the mileage. To sum it all up...would $11000 Cdn be a good price for it? I'd love to hear everyones' views and well done with the forum. Thanks~ Spyder187 |

I would only pay $8k for the car, but I haven't seen it. Also, have the timing belt and waterpump been done? If not, then I would only pay about $7200 for the car. Sounds nice though, and it is great that it has all the records!!
