Legend rolling on 24's

Anyone have pics of this!?!? I have a digital camera attached to me when I'm working and I've been tempted to take pics of the bro's Impala with 24's!! I've never seen a Legend on 24's but I figure it's just a matter of time!

a Legend on 24s would be Coach Wagon. that would be funny looking i think 20" would be the biggest you should go on a legend and 21" on an RL (of course you have to lower these cars to make it stock hieght again, not to mention roll or widen the fenders considerably)

God, I'm starting to get really pissed off at some of our idiotic members.

1. It's ridiculous that someone would even bring this up.

2. Why the hell would you think this belongs in the gallery.

I thought our Legends couldnt fit 20 inch rims?!?!?!?!? From what I understand they just dont fit in the wheel well area of course without SERIOUS fender mods ...I mean more serious then rolling them - something like actually getting it wider. But 24"s thas jus ri-dog-dam-diculous! Way too big those are like SUV sizes - talk bout over doing it.

Ya see its the name calling that causes some of these major issues on this forum, we've seen it all before, because you don't like someones thread you call them out of their name for it, they see it, they get pissed and call you out of yours, you become even angrier = one big mess. I really thought we would have learned by now. Control your emotions so that we may be able to maintain a sensible forum, set an example.

1) Simply and politely express to him that the topic is better suited in the off topic forum, that way he's tought.

2) Express to him that 24's are impossible on Legends let alone majority of the Sedens made, that way he becomes wiser.

So now he's tought and has become wiser in regards the legend, that is the whole purpose of this forum, thats our driving force, its what makes us successful here.

Peace fellow Legend owners peace..now smile

I honestly don't see the possibility of finding a Legend on 24s likely. I've seen a Legend on 20s, and it looks pretty bad (as in not good). Riding on 20s would mean (a) riding on a rubberband for tires or (b) oversizing the tires (which is what I've seen done).

24" wheels would require such a drastic upsizing that it would probably look comical.

hate to get involved but i gotta second that. i remember when i had like 20 posts on my counter i still was rippin speeddemon for being obnoxious towards innocent members postings. theres no need for that kind of talk, especially coming from a moderator. besides the fact that we are on computers, its not like were just talking, i know im not the only one that reads what they wrote before they hit the post button. how are you not gonna backspace over unneccessary words like that?

Definitely not impossible. In fact, very easily possible to do, but not probable (unless they're specifically going for, as B&O put it, the coach wagon look). As I mentioned, 20s on a Legend is already stretching it due to the OD of the factory tire/wheel combo.

The factory setup using 215-55-16 as a guide is only about 25" in Overall Diameter. 24" wheels would leave about 1" (1/2" top and bottom) for rubber to stay within spec. Well, figure that in order to have a somewhat driveable ride, you would need at least 2" of rubber all around. That brings the overall diameter to 28", which is an increase of about 3" over factory spec.

It isn't impossible, but a Legend isn't an SUV; having it done, and having it look right are two different challenges. One might be able to compensate with a body kit, but IMO, the kit would have to make the Legend look more along the lines of say a BMW 745, or Lexus GS for the wheels to look like they belong.
