Lookin 4 Machine Shop in SoCal to bore center of CL-S rims

ok hope the title fits on the screen & doesn't get cut off, but...

A friend of mine with an 03 CL-S just upgraded his rims & gave me his olds ones weee, so I'm looking for a place in SoCal to get the center bore'd out to 70.1mm from the factory 64mm. From San Diego to Escondido, Riverside or Oceanside, Irvine to Orange & everything in between works for me, just need a shop of good repute that wont charge a ton of $$$

Thanks all

~Duane

Oh!! I'm in the general Escondido/San Diego area btw, but am willing to take em up to the general Orange/LA area if needed.

I'm in the same situation as you; I've got a set of 300ZX rims that I'm about to get bored out at a bling-bling type hookup shop in Chula Vista called "Audio Excellence." I probably won't have it done until two weeks from now, but if you're patient and willing to drive all the way down to Chula, I'll let you know how good the shop's work is. They've got a decent reputation ~ at least I'd think so with all the Hummer H2's and Jaguars out in front with 22-inch rims

I live in Anaheim and got my IS300 rims bored out to 70.1mm. I got them done at www.AnaheimWheelCenter.com

(714) 778-5825
1515 N. State College
Anaheim CA. 92806

you drop it off at their store and they will take it and do the work at their shop. They did a really good job for $25 each rim. or was it $20 each? total for all 4 will be $80-$100 even. no tax
damn i cant remember maybe i bargained with the guy

So boring out the wheel does what? is this to increase the offset?

makes the rims fit over the hub, since the legend hub is 70mm while all other acuras are 64mm.

so this is different than milling the wheels hub to increase the offset?

yeah, you increase the diameter of the hub not the depth

my brother-in-law had a friend over at a place called Lordon Engineering that ended up doing it for free for me did a good job, they didn't make it all pretty & shiny polished like, but then again it's on the unseen side of the center hub thats covered up by the center cap anyway, so it doesn't matter much to me. Did a test fit & they worked out to be just right no slop or play or anything like that, so I'm happy. I dont know how much they'd charge to do other peoples but you can give em a ring. I'm pretty sure they are somewhere in the Huntington Beach area if memory serves me. Or maybe thats where my brother in law works now, hmmm, not sure which, maybe both? *shrugs* but the place was Lordon Engineering, nice bunch of folks down there, or at least they were to me, but then again I'm a nice guy *wicked grin* ;-)
