Has anyone had any success with finding cars on craigslist? I have been looking and found some decent candidates for my fleet.

Like this one:
91 LEGEND 2DOOR!! CLEAN!! $4,000 OBO

and this one:
1995 Acura Legend

but i found this one and was like , is this guy serious?

I mean that last one is nice and all, but $15000. I wonder if he meant $1500.

Frankly, I've had deplorable luck finding cars on Craigslist. I literally watched the whole country (via RSS feeds that searched for various permutations of acura legend) for months when I was looking for my coupe or an M3. I found nothing but sketchy dealers, shady people, and shitty cars.

I'd buy Smokinfastslegends coupe for something nearish to $15k if I had the cash lying around and it was really on the market. Low mileage, properly maintained, black on black coupes in the finest of condition are nearly impossible to find.

Craigslist is great, but you have to be willing to travel to pick up the car. I doubt you'd find what you are looking for in your town...

I found mine on Craigslist in under 4 weeks and only 20 mins from where I live. Only 87K miles...$3K. Yeah it is a sedan and it is gold, but it is a beauty (imo). Obviously coupes are much harder to find (craigslist or not).

naw, not anymore I put it up there for the shits and giggles. I wanted to see how many people would recognize it and say something, i got my response. Although I did get a few emails through that listing that said "For $15xx id buy it, call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx." My response was "Thanks for spitting in my face, now gtfo. Thanks for the interest."

Im glad someone out there doesnt think my asking price is astronomical though. The new leather wasnt cheap, neither was the sound system (diamond is not cheap, and then installation ugh!) Plus JDM parts and the strut bar with rear tie bars and the 17" wheels. Chock full of goodies, plus decent mileage for her age.
