mirror help

someone tried to steal my mirror on driver side of my coupe.they broke the clip inside but mirror still fine.
anyone know if the sedans mirror motor and insides plastic pieces are the same as the coupes?
the piece that is actually messed up is the center clip that is in the middle and behind the mirror.it connects the mirror to the motor.
thanks
rog

wow, never heard of someone trying to steal a mirror. it must have been a legend owner or someone who knows how much those are from the dealer. i have no idea about the clips though. although IMO i don't think that they would work considering that the mirror is a different design and also the fact that nearly nothing on the coupe and sedan are interchangable.

That was Justin told, is right. Sedan and Coupe Mirror glasses are not interchangeable.

The reason is, that the Coupe glasses are helded with clips. We have no screw!!! The Sedan glasses are helded with a screw of the bottom of the mirror housing.

Replacing the mirror glass:
The mirror glass is attached to this motor/actuator. Notice the lower screw (Sedan only) on the bottom of the mirror. You can see a small hole. Take a screw driver to unscrew this screw. After you can pop out the glass. Please donīt break the glass !!! -Mike

Hmm, you mean we have a screw to remove the glass? Just wondering, because I have replaced my glass last year and believe me... There is no screw !!!

i know there is no screw.the screw i meant is screwing something into the motor in the middle.so when they yanked the mirror the screw pulled on the plastic and cracked it.the part that cracked gives the mirror support for the adjusting motions
