MLS strut bar copy
ok guys lets avoid flaming cuz I know there was a group buy for this at one point.
Here's the scenario, I talked to my uncle who does CNC plotting, programming, and blueprint design about getting a blueprint for a copy bar made. He was more than willing to do the blueprint for me. Here's the problem, I dont have an MLS bar. So here are my questions. First and for most, does anyone have one they are willing to sell? And secondly, I dont remember who organized the GB for the last set of bars made; but about how much was it per unit and how many did you have made, what materials did you end up using etc? Anyone with some insight on this matter please feel free to chime in with suggestions and comments. The idea of having the blueprint would mean less time to the maker, and with any luck, give us an opportunity to "bid" out the job to several different shops hopefully yeilding the lowest cost to us the consumers. I do have several connections locally and a few in canada that I made friends with when I owned my Suzuki auto x car,so quality will not be an issue. The shops I deal with do high quality work and were actually referred to me by co-workers and other fellow auto x racers. At the moment we are working on a LOWER frame/strut tie, patiently waiting the arrival of a chassis/frame blueprint of the KA7/KA8, once I have that (which I have been waiting 2 months for) I can move forward with a possible design, get one made, test it, and then of course forward the results to you guys where we can hopefully move forward with production of the peice.

yeah I was lookin at the pics and I have to agree with that, I haven't read the whole thread yet but it looks as if it's powdercoated steel. I dont want to speak too soon and put my foot in my mouth, but I might be able to do better than $265, but I can promise you this, it will NOT be more than $265

As my little brother put it while I was taking a corner at a higher speed "It's kinda like a roller coaster, your body wants to move from side to side, but the car doesn't"
Everything that everyone has said about it in the past, it's all true.
