Dug right into the cherry wood. We took a trip to the inlaws this weekend in my white coupe and the first thing I asked before she sat down is where is that damn belt!
My wife's not gonna escape this either. WTF is all this hairspray on the woodgrain, the mirror, sunroof, driver's window. Get dressed before you step in the car. She railed on my daughter worse than I did last night. I've got some great stories about Mrs. and her driving/vehicular care to pass down but my glass house would come down quick.

I was right wher you are now 2 years ago. Some guy had his car in reverse at the red light and hit me. I had the exact same problem.(Scraped bumper, perfect fenders, and bent hood) Be sure to replace the raidator. Mine went bad about 2 months after the accident.

Here's part of the damage from the studded leather belt incident. I mean, c'mon.

OK, here's where I got it to by myself so far. Definitely her shield of dishonor.

Now my question is, what does it take to set those airbags off? I'm sure it wouldv'e been worse if they blew.

The studded belt scratches would drive any parent crazy!

The front end looks a lot like the front end of my Corolla that got rear ended by a high school girl and pushed into the SUV in front of me. The hood was accordion-ed but just a little damage on the bumper. I asked about the air bags not deploying...was told that the sensors are in the bumper. Most of my damage was front grill and hood (and of course the whole back of the car, too).

ps- The Corolla was totaled...I was uninjured (had seat belt on)...purchased Legend with the insurance money .

Wow...it really made my heart hurt to look at all the abuse that poor GS has endured in just 6 months. Glad your daughter was not hurt and did not hurt anyone. Those belt gouges would have made me unhappy to say the least! I do think you should get the radiator pressure tested at least as it might not be leaking, but may be weakened by the stress forces. When I was 16 and came out of a pool tournament to find a nice deep gouge all the way across the hood of my Dad's car...he made me pay for half the repairs as it happened while the car was in my care. I think you should ask your daughter to help pay for some repairs as it might give her a feeling of 'ownership' in the car and she might be more careful with it in the future...

Let it all out man, let it out....

My boyfriend is just as bad as your women. He always leaves my car trashed and it pisses me off. I'm like, TRASH YOUR OWN CAR DAMMIT!

I hate to see this kind of stuff happen. Way to many people I know who receive a car in mint condition from their parents let the same kind of crap happen.

You're not kidding. Back in the late 80's a friend of mine's brother inherited his grandfathers (who had just passed) '72 Volvo coupe. The thing had almost 200k miles and was when they were really built to last. It was in mint cond as it was the grandfather's pride and joy. Well, did not take but about 6months for it to be in the junkyard. What a shame that was to witness.
