need info on HID conversion on a KA7....is it possible?
After seeing a friends 240sx with the HID conversion I would like to convert my KA7 to HID.
First off is it possible on the KA7 with minimal work and is it cost effective? Where can I find a good kit? I've tried ebay but I'm not sure which one will work on my car and I'm not fimilar with the leggo...i.e. 9004 9005 9006 h1 h2 h3 blah blah blah.... On my buddies 240sx all he had was a "converter box" from a newer model Maxima that he wired up. The also had the HID bulb. Can anyone educate me on it? thanks Last edited by 60_cent : 04-11-05 at 06:45 AM. |

Try SuperHIDS.com. They should have your application, and their prices are the best i've seen on the Internet.

I'm not sure which bulb size your car uses, but it should tell you in your owners manual ( ie. 9005, 9006, etc.)

Your headlights are a 9006 bulb. There are many places to get an HID kit. I have 6000k HIDs and love them. There are some kits that are plug and play with your stock wiring and some that would need to be connected to your battery.
I bought mine here: http://www.angelfire.com/ultra/brightlightz/. It was a very simple install.

If you want HIDs on your JDM lights you will need the 9006 HID kit. You need to do some shaving on the clips to get them to fit into the H4H housing.
H4H are JDM bulbs which are not sold at majority of auto stores. JDM housing uses H4H for the high/low beams and where USDM's high beam once resides, are the H3 foglights on the JDM. My high beam switch activates the fog lights. I no longer have high beams due to the JDM's, but its all good.
