woah, so it's a bronze finish? mine looks like it's a crackled finish ivory insert. did they have different ones for GS and LS legends or is mine just screwy? it's off-white and has the black "ink" in the recessed pattern on the top... hmmmm....

Yeah, it should be sort of bronzish, or almost like a black chrome look. All the 6 spd knobs are the same, just sounds like the finish has worn off yours which seems to be pretty common after years of use.

NSX shift knob

Wonder if this would work in our shift knobs..... looks a little too wide though. Anybody try this?

Mine's not in bad shape (still has the bronze) but I would like to replace it with a new one.

New ones are $116 at the Acura dealer.

Does anybody want to buy mine for $60 shipped? I can email detailed pics.

just pull on the boot (pull down) and unscrew the old one

edit: you actully need to put some effort to pull the boot down, just pull on the platicy part on by the leather

also that new shifter looks to sweet, i should invest in one

Thanks...
Back in the day I had a brand new one for my '93, never installed it.
Gave it away a few years ago along with a Acura bra thinking I'd never have another 6-speed coupe.
Oh!!! My 'TYPEII' personalized plates are in... Pick 'em up tomorrow!

well, i could paint the center piece of mine a gloss black w/ clear for about $10 and the effort, or i could get a brand new one for $93. i'll think about it, but you'd have to come off that price a bit for me to seriously consider it.

Yeah, I just saw your WTB thread. I'm going to call AOA and order a new one tomorrow as well. I got two PMs on my shift knob already so I should be able to get $60 shipped.
