never had my legend been so embarassed, got smoked by mustang and z3.

what are the 0-60 times on the mustang i believe its a v6 and also a bmw z3. man dont ever try to race one of those, i have a 91 legend seden, and boy was i embarassed. i was trying to pass the bimmer on route 1 which has a center way for turning traffic i floored it but the bimmer was side by side and i dont seem to pass and i was so damn pissed it never happened to my legend before and i was forced to follow him all the way home what a shame. damn it. also, i raced wit a mustang the same night a little earlier and no luck there either. i can feel that the mustang was in control of the race. but at last i got ahead of mustang i guess he chicken out at like 80 in a 40mph zone. but still he could have smoked my ass. now i have doubts about charging at bimmers and mustangs i used to pay less respect to them till tonight. awww why cant acura make a freaking more powerful engine in the legend. would the 94 or 95 gs legends have the same consequences. i think so.

Woah, a V6 mustang took you??? That doesn't sound right,

the ~1995 s V6 mustangs only had like 145HP, the later models push 190HP. Did it have dual exhaust?

Mustang VS. 94 L Sedan

man i duno abt u but i got a 94 L sedan with Type I, which is the slowest G2 legend if im not wrong, and i beat a mustang...................it was a 94-98 model year, and i thought that it was a V8 bc it was sooo damn fast and was keepin with me even tho i was pushin my legend all da way, but most prolly it was a V6............................anyway it was DAMN CLOSE race and i dont know if i won bc he chickened out after 60 ina 30 zone on Main St. with mad traffic and cops lol, or bc he cudnt keep up after 60 and just gave up............we raced from a stoplight and we both got slow reaction time starts lol i think i was so damn excited i almost missed the gas pedal or sumthing man lol but when i looked over it looked like he got a bad start too...........anyway we floored it and started together, we were TIED EXACTLY BUMPER TO BUMPER upto about 40 mph id say..................and then he started to pull on me by about 3-4 feet when my i was stretching my 1st gear into 6250 rpms................(btw after this, i now think on a Type I its more effective to shift up manually at 6000 rpms??) ........but then as soon as my car shifted into 2nd (i wasnt doin it, i was in D4, i jus had the pedal to da metal ), then the legend seemed to JUMP forward hehe and i caught up to him and we were tied again exactly bumper to bumper...................and i think we went like that upto 60 mph, but wen i looked over at 70 mph, he was gone................i looked over my shoulder and i saw him wayyyyyyyy back lol.................
anyway whether he chickened out or he gaveup coz he was losin, i still won:p haha so wha do u guys think abt dat race??

WHOA!!! There's no way you got ripped by a v6 mustang! Those sixes are the joke of american engines. I raced my friend in a v6 and i had three other people in my car, he had none, and I tore him to pieces. He drives a 2001 too, the 94-98 ones were even slower. Even the 96-98 GT's were pretty slow, especially the convertibles. Those were unnecessarily heavy cars. Anyway, in order to get ripped by a v6 mustang, the pony would have to be a manual with a REALLY good driver, and some modifications.

P.S. Hey, maybe that mustang you raced was blown? :p

Probably not cuz 94s were 5.0s. Even if it was a convertible I doubt you woulda stayed with it.

correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the 90's Mustang GTs do high 5's in 0-60mph? cuz I actually fell behind in a race to an early generation GT, (the boxier ones) and had to actually do about 100mph to get in front of him.

wow...what's the deal

i dunno about y'all, but i too have a 94 L sedan with a type I, and i friggin run circles around v6 mustangs and some GT's, no matter what year. i know the GT's are fast, but somehow i seem to beat some of them by a considerable margin. i've raced a saab 9-5 turbo a 2001 (those are pretty damn quick 0-60 in the high 5's, low 6's) and i kept up within a couple inches. i dunno what happened with your car man.

Alright, the 5.0 Mustangs are the boxy ones, which were in production into the mid 90s, either 93 or 94. They had about 205-215HP V8 5.0L engines. They are fast off the line, very low power over 70mph, ESPECIALLY if it's an AUTO.

The 93 or 94+ have V8s, that produce a lot of power (i'm not sure if those were the 4.6L editions yet.... The V6s were a joke in those times, with 145HP, could easily be killed by a 4-cyil Integra of the same years or earlier.

Big flaw in all of the mustangs: The cars begin to choke up at 80mph+, they start losing that quick accel while the Legends and such Honda motors usually keep pushing onward.

no need to be embarrased, you dont know what those cars had in them and if that was the M Roadster you should be proud you kept up, they do 0-60 in 5 seconds, and have 315HP, and even the 3.0 Z3 is 0-60 in 5.9 seconds with 225HP.....theres no shame

and as for the Mustang, if he left you by a lot it might have had a charger on it, a lot of people are buying the V6's around here and charging them so you dont know what they have.....I've seen a Legend get beat by a stock V6 (5 speed) Mustang too, the newer motors have some ballz (even the V6)....sux for the Legend cuz it was a girl driving too....sheesh, so dont feel bad

but believe it or not the 5.0 is actually slower than the 4.6's (when stock)

Dont know about the 0-60 but those early 90's Mustangs (boxy ones) were only pulling like 15.2 stock.....he might have had something under the hood, I've seen one with headers, intake, exhuast, and a cam running a 13.5....not a bad way to shave off 1.7 seconds huh? lol

I think I know why too, when I was talking to a guy that had a 92 GT Mustang he was telling me how sh***y his stock exhuast was, said it was only like 1 3/4" or sumthin, thats the same size as a Civic, pretty pathetic to be putting on a V8, no wonder why they choked on the freeway

Angry it was the last generation mustang wit dual exhaust

maybe its a v8 looks pretty buff. at low speeds its ferocious and most of all faster than the legend for sure. doesnt matter if its a v6 or v8 its a mustang and its got more juice to spare against the legend as far as i know. and for that bimmer, i floored it at like 70 or so at the center lane and he zoooom right up beside me, he coulda got ahead of me if he wanted to pure ignorance. bastard ;(. i wish i had my brothers mercedes 500 at the time i would smoke his ass real badddd whos your daddy now. gota get one of those for myself

no, stock V6 mustangs are real big jokes.... I've never met a stock V6 mustang and not beat it even from a dead stop.
