Hi guys thanks for having me on board I cant wait to start working on my cruiser bhg ofcourse 300,000 miles .I just got my hands on her a week ago from a doctor who took really good care of her for $600.00 I Think it was a steal even with the bhg.7yrs of documentation of regular maintenance and repairs.Ive read some threads you guys post and I am confident and determined to get this ride back on the road with some help of course.
Welcome to the forums, make sure to only use OEM or Fel pro HG's. The rest of the gaskets can be purchased from ebay. I would also change the TB/WP and tensioner, all cooling hoses, also clean the EGR and intake manifold.
Thanks bigboy I really appreciate the tips.I forgot my bad I go by the name Esteban nice to meet all of you again thanks to all for having me any and all tips and advise would be appreciated grately! When I get started I will be posting pics and details about the mission. She will be rolling down the road with the rest of the Legends out there soon.Im in the windy city and I really havent seen any 1st.or 2nd gen.legends around,I guess thats kool with me cause she's gonna shine out here when she's ready.
Is there a revised or upgraded HG to help with this common issue? I was told to remove thermostat and leave out of car after hg repair to insure circulation of coolant at all times. Any comments.
I wouldnt recommend doing that because your car wouldnt reach normal operation temperature or it would justwould take forever and going freeway speed it will stay cold
