Newbie question,3.2L engine--where are the spark plugs, and...
does it take a master mechanic to change them? Is it normal to have some vibration at idle. It smooths out as the rpms rise, and the car seems to run like a scalded cat.

The plugs are located under the black valve covers you see on top of the engine. Two bolts will take those off (each side... you will see).
And for your vibration... it is normal on every legend I have ever driven and that was ever made... lemme guess.... between about 1500 and 1800 rpm? If so perfectly normal. An acura mechanic told my dad who owns a 92 sedan that it has to do with the harmonic balancer. If you do a search for engine vibration you will get a ton of hits.

It doesn't take a whole lot to change them, but you can call me a master mechanic anyway.
j/kThe 3.2L SOHC uses a coil-on-plug system. To remove the spark plugs, you first have to remove the coils. Take off the two bolts on top of coil, then disconnect the wire harness leading to it. Pull on the coil, and you'll see the boot that slides over the plug. Just make sure you have a socket extension long enough to get down there, the plugs are buried deep. It's like deep-sea oil drilling, only worse. lol |

Thanks for the replies. I am going to find out what plugs are in there and what condition they are in. Once I find out what plugs they are, I'll put that on here to find out if they are the right ones.
