Talking NoCal/SoCal has a Colorado Legend 2 Play with =0)

Thats right! Just like the title says, you California folks have a new Legend to play with I'm down here in Cali for surgery and have about 10 days to have fun before going under the knife. I'm in a currently dirty from travel Green 94 Legend GS sedan with Colorado plates. So there can't be too many other Colorado Legends hanging around out here I just wanted to say hi to everyone & let my fellow brothers and sisters out there know that I'm friendly and rarely bite hehe. I'm not sure how long I'm going to be here in Cali after surgery, but it'll most likely be quite some time. Surgery is going to be in the Fremont/San Jose area but I'm going to be in the SoCal area pre-surgery. I'm heading down to the greater LA area tomorrow (thursday) and plan on seeing family down there for a bit. Then I'm gonna head to the San Diego area and visit more family down there. I sure am excited about this surgery I've got one of the very best Surgeons in all of the USA! He's one of the top 5 orthopedic surgeons in the entire US, so I'm quite certain that he's gonna take good care of me, so I can get up & start walking ASAP. I'm just so excited!

Anyhow, if you see me say hi Maybe I'll get a chance to hang out with a few of my Legend family while I'm out here

Oh, I'm gonna get a cell phone while I'm out here since I'm gonna be moving out here anyhow. How is T-Mobile's cell coverage out here? They seem to have the best deal going, as far as I can tell. No roaming ever, free long distance 24x7x365, everywhere (in the USA) is your local calling area free voicemail, free nights & weekends, low monthly charges, pretty good plans, etc... So how is the actual cell phone reception out here in Cali?

The more info you can share about T-Mobile & other cell carriers out here the better. NoCal or SoCal, it doesn't matter. I just need to know who's got the best bang for the buck & will let me go anywhere in the USA and not worry about roam charges, long distance, no cell reception, etc....

Thanks! Oh, and remember, I'm gonna be living in the general San Diego area, so try & keep that in mind

hehe, yeah I guess I said more than I needed to, I just need to know the low-down and hear from you all if they are really as good as they claim to be out here in Cali. From what I've seen so far AT&T Wireless has ultra-sucky coverage & reception out here, and that sure wont do.

So whatever help you can give & whatever advice you can toss my way is very much appreciated.

u WISH u were, then u'd be with catherine zeta jones.

anyways, in california, tmobile uses the cingular network and cingular sucks. verizon has a nice network, but crappy phones. sprint sucks in the bay area but i heard its good in la; dunno if thats true or not. which leaves att; they have a new GSM network, better than cingular's and i dont think its fully up yet. (not sure) but ATT uses the same cool phones as cingular. personally i dont like the crappy verizon phones and dont particularly like the sprint phones. i currently have cingular but im planning to switch over to att at the end of the month.

BTW, go to the mom and pop shops (the resellers) to sign up. u get the best deals from them. they might be "fly by night" or wutever but who cares? u sign a contract with the service provider, not the shop so ur service/contract is independant from the store.

You know what. To make your life alot eaiser and to stop the violence. Just go to Wal-Mart and grap a pre paid phone off the shelf. Your only here for a small amount why get a contract phone.

Good Luck and dont break a Leg. And remeber down south driven in the car and on a phone will only get you shot in So Cal. Someone will think your one or the other down there.

My surgery is on the 27th which is a Monday. Its in the Freemont area at the Freemont Surgery Center & Dr. Ting is my surgeon. This guy has worked on pretty much every major athlete or sports figure of pretty darn near every form of sports and racing. No matter if they are from/live in a different country they come to this guy, so in short, if you have the money to go to any Dr out there, they choose this guy. I dont make very much cash myself so I'm not sure how things are going to work out yet. He knows I make a puny monthly salary being on disability and all, but they want to help me out & I really feel comfortable & at ease with them. I just hope they are doing my case as a favor to a guy that needs the best Dr but can't afford it. So yeah I hope they don't charge me for what insurance doesn't cover.

I wasn't even in California until just yesterday ( wed ) and that was from the general direction of Reno as we went from Reno to the general San Jose/Freemont area. But we did go over the Golden Gate Bridge b/c its something I've always wanted to do

I've thought about doing pre-paid, but to pay $100 for the phone and like $1 per minute or so gets really expensive. So I'm looking for people with T-Mobile & Verison & how pleased they are with the service & what part of Cali they live in. I know that AT&T has sucky coverage down in the San Diego area but dont know for sure what its like over the rest of the state. Its sad when you have a car kit for your AT&T phone & how it uses an external antenae that's way powerful & if you take the phone out of the car kit you can't friggin get any reception! that sucks big time. I'm gonna be moving to the San Diego area in the future anyhow, so I'd like to get a phone that I can use anywhere w/o worry, get good reception & clear calls, never pay roaming, free long distance, and all that good stuff, have a decent phone & maybe even one that'll work in my car kit if at all possible. So we'll see how it goes.

I've gotta get some sleep though all. Wish me luck! I'm driving my dad down to San Diego tomorrow ( Friday ) and head back to the greater LA area Saturday morning.

Wish me luck with surgery! tks again everyone!
