I'm sorry, but it's threads like these that make me want to ban certain members. I came in thinking this may be a insightful thread, but surely it's someone just posting some comment with no intelligence to back it up.
And cradlefish, you don't deserve to drive a Legend. Go trade in your '95 Legend for a '95 Ford Taurus.
" a 1995 accura legend with rust, ripped seats, stained carpet and that smells like old man IS NOT A LUXURY CAR !!! "
either is a 1995 Mercedes S 500 ....
Whats your point ?
seems like you have more issues ...

First I must say that this site has been great! I've learned a lot of things about my 95 Legend and it's typical problems that I didn't before. I've learned how to fix and diagnose some problems as well. I'm kinda disappointed that I didn't encounter this site 3-4 months ago before I bought my 95 Legend L. If I what I knew now that I didn't before, I don't think I would've bought the car. I only bought it because of the great reliability and reviews from Automsn.com, carcomplaints.com and etc. Mainly from the individual reviews from the automsn.com. Don't get me wrong. The Legend drives and runs like a dream. You can definitely feel that it's a high quality car except there were a few designed flaws , mainly the BHG. I've gone through this site many times and have read the DIY and the Sticky's. They've been of great help but knowing that my car might some day encounter a BHG sooner than to be expected is a huge let down. Sure there's the 3.5L engine swapped, but that defeats the purpose of owning a true Legend, which IMO is no longer a Legend. I have 129k in my car now and I've had the typical problems like erratic speedometer needle working and not working, security alarm on the driver side going off from opening the door sometimes, CD player skips like crazy and power antenna doesn't go down all the way. Most of it the problem is minor and I can deal or fix that. It's mainly the notorious BHG is what kills me.
I'm not sure if I have a BHG or a leak somewhere around my cooling system. But I do get white smoke coming out of my exhaust especially when it's cold outside. It doesn't smell sweet or foul. The white smoke does go away after it's been driven for a like 15-30 minutes. I don't have steam from my hood. I don't see any milky white stuff in my oil or oil in my overflow coolant tank.....yet. I've given it a coolant flush, used honda coolant, purged and bled it a few times to get rid of the bubbles. I initially had my temp gauge needle go to H and then drop to normal a few times until I finally refilled/purged it a few more times and it was good. Heat works great and quick. I also resoldered my main relay just for the hell of it. Other than that I've done the regular maintenance like seafoam, tune up, oil and trans change, refrigerant charge, and soon the fuel filter. I also put a new CD/radio cause the stock CD player wouldn't stop skipping.
I honestly don't really know if I have any BG unless I get it tested it out for pressure and Hydrocarbons. I just don't want to keep putting money in the car for maintenance and parts only to find out that I will blow my HG one of these days.
My 98 Corolla had been running for 11 years with 216k and hardly any problems if ever, until my wife got into a car accident and wrecked it. I never had to worry about it starting up, transmission problems or BHG. The engine was a gem. I've had a piece of mind for 11 straight years until now after owning the Legend. I'm debating is it better to sell the Legend now and avoid the possible problems down the road with the notorious BHG or enjoy owning it and hopfully I lucked out?
I know many of forumites here don't mine spending money in maintaining their Legend, but is it really worth it?
My stupid wife wrote that behind my back when I left the page up. She hated the car from the get go and still hates it. It reminds her of her ex-boyfriend and always wanted me to get rid of it....whatever??? But anyway, I do apologize for her stupidity.
Well what I do want to say is that I finally did get rid of my 95 Legend a couple of days ago. It was by far the best driving car I ever owned, but at the same time the most frustrating one as well. Mainly because of the numerous over heating issues I dealt with. Even replacing the hoses, radiator cap and and thermostat didn't help. I don't know if it it's a BHG? The engine idles very smoothy and quietly. It might be the waterpump or radiator that I may need to replaced but overall I don't know if I have a BHG because whenever I take the car on to the highway running 70-75mph to my parents place. It always seems to be leaking anti freeze down my car around the driver side. I try to check for the leak but i noticed that the overflow tank is brimming with antifreeze and spattered over the engine. I can also open the radiator cap without having any coolant coming out after a long drive with the engine hot. I try to do searches for answers and asking for some help. A couple of local mechanics say it may be the waterpump or radiator if I already replaced the hoses, rad cap, and thermostat. I just ended up not trusting the car anymore after numerous let downs. I loved the car and wish I could've kept it longer but the wife said either I keep this car and keep on trying to fix it or get a another one. I gave in and didn't want to deal with further issues. I have more problems to worry about than wondering when the next time the car is going to overheat. But like I said from my previous post on owning the car. I have learned more about cars than I ever did before and look at as as $2500 lesson about cars.
Seriously? Firstly, calling your wife stupid? Really? On a public forum? Maybe say something like my wife got onto my account and said some things I don't agree with. But calling her stupid? Do you have any respect for her?
If this is one of those things where you said something dumb, everyone called you on it, and then you tried to blame it on your "stupid wife," shame on you. Otherwise, it's too bad you owned such a problematic car. Once in a while, a car is just plagued with problems. It happens, you picked the short straw.
But more importantly, just go ahead and delete those wife apologies and putdowns. No need for that crap. If she's your wife, that means you love her and respect her. So if she posts on your account something kind of dumb, don't blame her publicly and put her down like that. Seriously?

seriously...shut up dude. My wife does this to me all the time when I leave the page up while I'm logged in on to other forums. I tell her not to do it, so if she keeps doing this. Then she's disrepecting me. If I decide to post something stupid and I get flamed for it? Then I deserve it.
Let's get this straight. You have no idea what our relationship is like comparing to yours or anybody else around this forum. It's not my place to judge people base on what they do. Maybe there's a reason why they do the things they do or say the things they do.
So please before you go ahead and give me lecture. Try to figure the situation first before coming up with your own conclusions.
