OEM Alarm & HID's

I accidentally opened the passenger door ( normally I open the drivers then the passenger ) and my alarm went off. I forgot all about the faulty factory alarm system that I have. Anyway, the hid's were turning on and off. I went and did the alarm bypass thing. Is it good for hid's to be flashing on and off??

then you should take a look at the voltage spikes when ballasts starts up.

i lost my valeo ballasts to repeated flashing since i havent re-wired the alarm yet.

for some cars its the only option. especially cars with bi-xenon. the whole purpose for flashing the headlights is to draw attention when the alarm is tripped.

^Do you think i'll lose mine? Mine is wired to relay kit that goes to the battery and the bulb socket. Thanks for the help..I disconnected the alarm to be on the safe side. Even though they are OEM WHYTELEGEND, I just want to play it safe. Shit was expensive. Thanks again.

so is the factory alarm supposed to flash any of the lights? Just curious because my OEM alarm doesn't flash any lights anywhere on the car.

Yea I know , the ballast I have are from a BMW that usually flashes when the alarm goes off..
So I am fine.

When compared the acura oem ballast they are way faster when warming up the bulbs.
