Bumped means he posted in your thread so it moved to the top.
The stock bose L system is a PITA because there are 4 wires you're going to see when you get to work back there: the tweeters are wired directly off of the clips for the stock 6x9s. I had a hard time figuring out which wires are which. With the help of the service manual, I was able to figure out positive and negative based on their color but it was harder to figure out which wires were hot w/ signal from the head unit and which were for the tweeters. If you're replacing the 6x9s with a coaxial, 4ohm speaker, I suggest you remove the tweeters from the circuit all together. At that point, you just figure out which wires are hot and attach the wire the manual indicates is positive to the wire the positive pole on the speaker and do likewise for the negative. Good luck!

ah i see. i just want the easy way out. im looking to replace my 6x9's because one stopped working and the other rattles. with minimum amt of work. im either going to buy these off brand 6x9's and have someone install them, or im just going to buy new ones from the store and have their people do it. unless there is a 6x9 that i can just plug into my old plug. is there?

Call Bose. They should be able to help you... It's an expensive part for the luxury of not snipping a few wires... Of course, the way I listen to my stereo now, I wish I'd never installed the 6x9s on the rear deck... my fronts and a woofer sound just as good if not better.

Though, you could also do as suggested and unplug the tweeter's wiring on the tweeter side...
