a question

Mellow Hi. I have a set of injectors from Superstreet4life's 93 partout, and was planning on sending them in to witch hunter today. While checking your ^ post, am I gonna have to also send with the injectors a set of o-rings? and then have a new set for when they get back? do i need to order 2 sets? I am expecting to see a big difference with the clean injectors. thank you for bringing this service to my attention.

I cleaned up the injectors the best I could and bubble wrapped each of them. One injector I put the o-rings back on. Three rings if I remember right.

Warning!! There's a 4th ring. It serves as a heat shield between the injector and the intake manifold - looks like a thick plastic washer. Be careful when you remove each injector as it may stick to the bottom. I had one fall into the engine compartment and was a bitch to find it. Clean this one and reuse.

Does anyone have an update to this? Sorry to be a nag, but I am curious on how much better our "older" cars will perform with this injector service. Thanks.

Did the swap last week. Car does run smoother but haven't seen a noticeable increase in MPG. Could be because the fucking oil companies have started putting ethanol in the gas which drops your mileage about 10%.

This may be a stupid question but cant you just clean them yourself with acetone or something? What do they do different when you pay a professional to clean it?

Yup, they use ultrasonic vibration to remove any dirt or residue that is in the injectors. I'm about to send mines soon since I got extra injectors from the junkyard.

Getting ready to put them in tomorrow. They seem super clean. I wish I took before pics, but they did not look ...new. here:

7.2 to 1.4 balance. I'm now wondering how the set I pull out will clean out to.
oh and I also read on the invoice that "it is advised that all cleaned injectors are to be installed within 30 days of servicing to prevent sticking". I'm going to try to get out and get the gaskets that I will need to swap in the walbro too.

They look good. New or not really doesn't matter as long as they're jetting/fogging nicely in sync.

Heck, you have all the seals - all set to install. Just make sure you oil the green and the black one on the bottom. There should be another plastic washer where the black seal sits on. It's a heat shield. Clean that and reuse.

Good luck!
