Hey guys, 95 Legend SE with 148K. I do not have money to do extensive repairs so I come to the experts first.

1. When I turn the key, slight delay before start up... i guess not a big deal
2. Slight gasoline smell outside the car
3. Car takes a little long to heat up. I mean yes it hit the midway point after 10-15 minutes but isnt that long or is it fine based on the age of the car
4. During initial acceleration... from stop to go between 1k-3k rpms there is a little hesitation. Its like you put your foot on the pedal, it moves then its like once it gets between the rpms it backtracks then starts moving normally and great. (picture yourself jogging then you jump back and start sprinting... thats kind of how it feels)
5. The heater doesnt get to hot, I mean its warm but def not as hot as I think it should be. I can have it on max and I wont start to sweat lol
6. Battery died, im assuming from disuse of the car. Now I need the radio code
7. Because of the gas smell I looked under the car and noticed two liquids underneath the car, maybe more not sure. I couldnt find cardboard so i put some newspaper. This morning looked at the paper and it was light brown, maybe a little honey colored.

Sheesh what else could possibly be wrong... with that being said can yall help me out with what the issues are exactly and estimates for fixing them. I am no mechanic and do not have time to fix anything unless its an easy fix (pouring fluid in). If it will cost to much I will probably sell my baby... sigh. Thanks for your time guys

1 & 2. You might have to do a pressure test on your fuel system to figure out where you have a fuel leak. Check the fuel pump, lines and seals on entry/exit points on gas tank. Replace fuel filter (easy to do, there is a DIY on here) and check fuel fuel pressure regulator.
3 & 5. Start with bleeding your cooling system (there is a diy in the DIY forum), make sure you have silicate free (long life) coolant in there. It could be a far bigger problem, but this is a good place to start.
4. Might be related to your fuel problem.
6. Get the serial # off the side/bottom of the radio (search on here and there is a thread that tells you how you can locate the #). Call Acura of Augusta and they will give you the code for free (tell them you're from A-L.com).

Maybe other members closer to the DC area can give you more accurate cost estimates than I. Prices differ a lot state to state.

1. When I turn the key, slight delay before start up... i guess not a big deal

--Ignition switch harness or main relay is starting to go bad. When it goes completely, get a new harness or main relay from the dealer and install it yourself.

2. Slight gasoline smell outside the car

--Could be a number of things, injector o-rings, fuel filter, fuel line or rail. Let a technician check it out.

3. Car takes a little long to heat up. I mean yes it hit the midway point after 10-15 minutes but isnt that long or is it fine based on the age of the car

--Depending on ambient temperature, car should warm up after about 5 minutes of driving. Possible sticking thermostat or radiator full of sludge. Suggest a new OEM thermostat & a radiator flush & fill with Honda coolant.

--Fuel delivery issue or an extremely dirty air filter. Given question 2 above, sounds like you need to get your entire fuel system checked out.

--The cooling system on these cars is the most sensitive I have ever seen anywhere. If you haven't done so, you need to have the radiator pressure tested & inspected, check all belts & hoses & check the temperature sending unit & the TW sensor (temperature water). When was the water pump and timing belt done? Also check the heater control valve back on the firewall.

Sounds like oil or differential fluid. Diff fluid has a very distinctive smell and these cars have a history of rear diff seals going bad, typically at about your mileage, if not before.

As some on here have said, "Being able to purchase a Legend and being able to afford a Legend are two separate things." Given that you aren't mechanically inclined and don't want to spend a lot of money, you may want to reconsider your purchase. Good luck---
