oil change???

i just did my first oil change on my gf's 93 C32A auto and it took about 5.6 or so quarts of oil with the filter is this correct?

I changed my oil just last Friday, I put in my 5 quarts, and had a little bit left over in the container. I think if you put over 5 quarts, that oil is probably going somewhere it shouldn't. Or maybe you have some custom oil pan that is .5 quarts larger. I hope for the latter.

I always put in 4.5 quarts, let it warm up, turn it off, check the oil level, then top off as needed.
