Question Paint Fading

I got my Legend as a gift. The car is red and the paint is fading. Is there anything i can do besides repainting the car in order to restore the paint.

Is it the actual paint failing or the clear. I know the clear honda/ac used in the 90's failed...I just recleared my paint job, and touched up some spots. But you gotta have the tools!

You can try to buff it but it will only work to a point. You can also get the car repainted for under $700. I had my legend painted at the Vermont Maaco and I'm really happy with it. Maaco isn't as bad as the reviews say. I did get the basecoat-clearcoat option instead of single stage.
