Paint will not stay on mesh grill

Well, Ive given up. My last trip to Denver 1 week ago caused almost all the paint on my lower mesh grill to come off due to the salt chemical on the roads. It looked excellent before the trip, but now it looks like a$$. I guess Krylon isnt that durable in the long run

. Im just gonna take it off for now and maybe reattach it this summer when there is no crap on the roads. What is the most durable paint to use that wont keep coming off?

you should put some clearcoat on it. my paint has stayed on.
