Where do I shim?

Hi all I've just lowered my ride and I need to correct the REAR camber. I've read several members(ChrisK, and a few others) about using washers and longer bolts but they never mentioned which part of the rear suspension member that needs it. Does anyone have any pictures/diagrams to assist me in this install? TIA

-Jim

Shims go between the rear upper arm and the body. GM camber shims can be used so you don't have to pull the bolts all the way out. After setting the camber, the toe will have to be adjusted.

Gotcha! I'm betting 2 GM shims per bolt for a 2" drop. We shall see. Thanks a bunch!

I now recomend the shims because it is a PITA to remove and reinstall the bolts. Sometimes it goes back in real easy, and sometimes it is a bitch to realign since there is still tension on the arms. With the shims you don't have to fully remove the bolts so you wont have that problem. Fortunately for me it was a 1 time job so since I had the washers in there was no reason to change to the shims. If we do my friends new 94 Legend Coupe (He had my old 91 before) we will definately use shims this time around.

I can't. I no longer have a Legend and I don't know when we will be working n my friends car. Someone else could probably get a pic though.

Took me a while to find these shims but it worked out perfectly. The negative camber is virtually gone.
