Rather than do the 9005 conversion on the so called "blue" cool blues etc which are just "blue wannabes". The blue coating on the bulb actually makes it LESS BRIGHTER.

I opted to do the 9005 conversion on the Phillips Hi Visibility bulbs. These bulbs are supposedly 30 percent brighter than your normal bulb WITHOUT the blue bulb coating.

I could care less about the "blue" color, all I wanted was something significantly brighter than OEM and I am very pleased with the outcome of these super bright bulbs. The 9005 conversion only makes it brighter.

another cool thing is that these do not have that "hi beam" brightness because of the way the low beam socket is positioned in the housing so they don't pierce the eyes of on-coming drivers.

for 10 bucks a piece at k mart you can't beat it!
I mean the brightness was just remarkable.
