Pics of installed LSD and Ported Head

Well, after a few months of procrastination and indecision... The coupe will indeed be shredding by this weekend!

I purchased this car about 1 year ago and it wasn't running at the time. The mork ass I bought the car from tried installing a type 1 motor with an auto diff into this 6 speed coupe and thought it would work, or maybe that's why he sold it. I had a funny feeling, so we dropped the motor and checked the situation.
Sure enough, another hacked AC. Roofing nails for cotter pins, 4bolts on each exhaust manifold, the wrong diff and who knows what else I'll find by the end of the week.
I figured this would be a good time to install the Phantom Grip LSD since I have to swap the differentials anyway. I ordered the 901 Gold with the upgraded springs off ebay for a total of $345.00 shipped.

Here is a pic of it installed along with the inside of a manual differential.

Nice and shiny der installed with the Wikked green springs

I took a few shots of a head my friend just finished porting. These P&P Type II heads/Intake manifold wont be going on untill the spring time though due time restraints because of school prettymuch :
Here are a few shoddy pics I took last month. I'll be taking more this week with a better digi cam.

Check the tear dropage

Port job looks great! Doesnt seem like you had them gasket matched, at least not on the exhaust ports.
Did they have any issues with installing the PG?

I had them gasket matched but they're not comletely finished yet, very close though. They gaskets are actually matched to the ports slightly on the exhaust side. I'll get a few more pics today with the gaskets on so you can see.
The phantom grip went in much easier than I anticipated. The only bump in the road was when it to compressing the springs between the two plates along with installing the small pins. Other than that, piece O' Cake.

can the phantom-grip be put into both auto and manual differentials. i'm asking because since i'll be ripping out the transmission and replaceing the main seal, might as well put a lsd conversion in there.

thanks.

Mines served me well for what power ive thrown at it. 350 bucks installed wasnt much to spend. a honda man lsd is 600 + install and is deffenity for the hardcore members.

I'll be posting my PG up for sale here in a bit, Ive got my HM LSD waiting to be installed.

no, no need for hard core racing. i might as well replace/modify it for general purpose of traction. mind you, the car is not mine and i talked my father to fork out the money for this rebuild.
here is the thread if you guys are interested, don't want to hijack this thread. hello

uPnoRthACme: nice build up and whats wrong with using nails as cotter pins? i used to do that but i know better now.
