Possible to restore wheel ??
My 10 year old LS coupe has OEM wheels which have dings and dangs and scratches etc etc, which is reasonable amount of damage as an 10 year old rims.
However, the problem is I can NOT find any aftermarket which can give the same kind of authentic look as this OEM rims. I just can NOT replace those.. to me, those rims just perfectly get along with legend coupe itself... Now, my question is, is it possible to remove dings and dangs and restore these oem rims? at reasonable/affordable cost? Who provides such kind of service? |

Perform a Search for The Wheel Collision Center. Has facilities in CA and PA. Several years ago I sent them the OEM alloys off of my Cpe. Wheels had minor dings and curb rash. Cost to refurbish averaged $125 per wheel plus $12 each shipped from MA to PA via UPS. Repainted with correct insert paint. Returned in like new condition. Plan on buying new center caps.

I plan to restore my GS rims to better than OEM condition within the next month. I'll write a DIY on it.

Once again I will strongly urge you and everyone else to AVOID Wheel Collision Center. I got 4 refinished GS wheels from them. All 4 were peeling within weeks. No refund, no exchance, totally rude "we don't give a f***" attitude. I'll stop there.

Thanks for all those input, though there are two opposite opinion...
$140 per each wheel seems a little steep.... it is worth if it can completely restore the condition though... I will look for how "ballistic" comes back with outcome from his project.. will see... |

Check your local shops. We have one in STL that machines any OEM wheel and refinishes. I can't remember the name, nor do I have any experience with this. I'd ask around locally, ask about warranties, and ask for referrals or samples of their work, this also avoids shippings costs. I would think body shops and dealers would have some insight. |

You might want to contact www.vikingwheel.com.
I would like to hear from anyone who has polished their own wheels; I am considering a kit from www.caswellplating.com. Any feedback would be appreciated. |

140$ a rim?
you might as well buy CL-S rims, or go find some GS rims in better condition.
