Problematic Overheating Issuea

New koyo radiator
New thermostat
Old fan relay
Old hoses, both are swollen
Thermostat stuck closed
Fans do turn on but coolant doesn't run into the motor even without a thermostat?
Coolant and reservoir levels max
Cooling system bled via 12mm valve by top radiator hose

Engine temp sensor replaced with pick pull part

I have no idea why my baby's ocerheating I've been with on her all day
Any help would be great!

Will try again tomorrow after I pickup a new fan relay

Swollen hoses and maxed out coolant usually are a sign of a blown head gasket. Did you car temp go all way to the Hot marker when it overheated? Did you get the thermostat from the dealer? When you bleed the system do you get all the air out? Does the car smoke when you let it idle not steam smoke?

Always was on the hot marker if it wasn't a blown gasket I'm sure it is now
It was a non OE thermostat
Yes all the air
The car doesn't smoke bad, it's always has a little smoke from an old old ring atleast that's what I know could be more

I have come to the conclusion that I have a blown headgasket, Ive tried running with no thermostat and both coolant hoses are swollen, the lower hose is to the point of blowing off the thermostat housing, will also replace the clip.

Seems like it isnt a full blown gasket but blown none-the-less to the point where the vacuum in the motor is in fact blocking flow of coolant into the motor. Not allowing proper circulation of the coolant through the motor.

I just ordered a new set of Eristic Graphite Headgaskets and waterpump with new timing belt. Figured if I blow all this money all at once it will atleast shorten the list of possibly problems.

Will provide details and photos as I have time after the tear down and maybe work it into some type of DIY article for later use

Make sure youuse all oem parts from dealer or you will be doing this all over again at some point. Do the values to some you dont have, smokingall that when you refill with coolant use only Honda coolant it a little more but it's worth it. Get a oem thermostat too. Make sure the fan timer and fan control units both work as well. Good luck

I have always tried to stick to OEM and when cash is not in my favor I go to the next closest OE replacement that is recommended by users on this forum.

I will have to get an OEM thermostat for sure.

Go ahead and get the eristics hg set but really recommend to get the felpro or OEM head gaskets while using the rest of the set for everything else.

I already mentioned this in another thread. These are good quality, Stone is the distributor of Ishino (the manufacturer of gaskets for almost all Japanese autos) in the US.

1993 Acura LEGEND Stone Engine Cylinder Head Gasket Set - Pelham Auto Parts

Very good service from this vendor.

Ill return to oem when I need a new motor, I know my motors going out soon but it's still running strong. I have a couple sitting in my garage. I plan on going 3.5 hybrid when my motor actually blows rings. The hones are gone and I just need my dd back. Can't afford to drive my big tundra all the time. This current motor has 350k miles on the clock haha

Edit

I was looking at the stone gasket set I noticed the Hgs have reinforcement around the cylinder and coolant rings is this the same with felpros? If so ill just return my eristics Hgs and pick up the felpros locally I did have a bad experience with felpro valve cover gaskets before that's why I was weary of the brand

Problem has been solved.

I have since replaced the radiator with a KOYO oe spec rad. Cheap thermostat (lol I was not offered anything mustve not have any other in stock). And replaced my headgaskets.

The problem was as I identified earlier with a seeping HG. My vacuum was pumping into my coolant lines preventing any flow of coolant, my old rad probably is fine. Will have to put that on my to do list for later.
