Q for guys who had rims bored-out

Hello all.
Where the heck did you guys find a machine shop or wheel place that bored out your rims?

Did you go by searching the yellow pages? If so, what did you look under? Machine work? Wheels?

I'm asking because I live in upstate NY and can not find anyone (so far) that does this type of thing.

In fact, a couple of wheel places advised against it, saying that it could be dangerous riding on these bored-out wheels.

Uggh. Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks.

hey - i just had some done, and what i did was do a search on yellowpages.com (i did a distance search from my house for keyword 'machine', and then category 'machine shops - jobbing and repair'. i came back with about 30 of them, and called them all. only about four actually did this kind of work, but for every one that didn't, i asked if they could recommend a shop that *could* do it. one shop came back with like 10 recommendations for it, so i went to them. they did an *awesome* job, and because of how many other machine shops referred me to them, i wasn't skeptical of how their work would turn out. hopefullythis helps, and good luck,

wally

Since there are a lot of Legend owners here in the Bay Area, I got a recommendation right here on the Legend Forum.
