Question on wheel offset

I currently have MKW mk5's on my legend, and i have to get rid of them because i am putting airbag suspension in it, and when i drop it it would slam the fenders onto the wheels, im wondering what offset i would need for a wheel to stick it inside of the legends wheel well, i found a wheel that is +45 offset but not sure if that would put it inside the wheel well. im not sure what the current offset on my wheels are because they are discontinued. thanks -tom

beat the dead dog some more.
The width of the wheel also plays a big factor here.
I have 18x7.5 +45 on my Legend, and it moves into the fender if say, i sit 3 people in the back. But I dont know about the major type of tucking you're talking about, might be pushing it.
