Legend Forever
|
Ok, I finally got my car to my mechanic again today. Some of you might remember that I have problem with the rattling noise come from under the center console location for about 6 months now. The behavior of the probelm is the following
1) When I drive over the broken road there is rattling noise come out from somewhere in the center console location. 2) The noise only obvious when the car is recently started and drived. Say, if I drive the car for about 30 min, the noise would just disappear. Here is what I did in the past trying to fix the problem but doesn't work 1) Change the clutch master and slave cylinders 2) remove the jack on the trunk. The mechanic, which is reliable and I have my car fixed by him for several times now, cannot find anything wrong with my Legend. Everything looks fine according to him. The only thing he can find that might be a problem is the rear transmission mount which is crack. According to him, it is not badly crack since one side is still intact (while another side is obviously crack). So I will get the rear transmission changed tomorrow. He quoted the total price around $200-210. The price of the rear transmission mount from Acura of Boston is $150. + Is the price reasonable? + Do you think the rear transmission is the problem? If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know. Thanks. Mocca |
