rear engine

So I am looking to get another legend again I used to have a 91 but am looking at a 93 now and am wondering if anyone has done or has info about converting it to rear engine? I realize the money it would take and all the custom fabbed things (which i can do). I havnt seen any talk of it and would like some input.

There are numerous threads about RWD conversions. No one has down it as of yet, there are members is the process of completing conversions though.

I mean rear engine like ferraris and those type where its technically "mid engine". My idea is using the fact that the trunk and back seats have a lot of room and using that area. I know there are alot of cars that would be easier to do that with but I love the looks of the legend.

Im in the process of getting all the plans done up. the hardest part looks to be the rear suspension but im looking to pull the front suspension off another donor and retrofit it in the place of the stock so I have the knuckles necessary for the axles.

Also does anyone here know what the differences in transmission dimensions is for auto vs 5speed vs 6speed?
