Rear wheel well rust repair

I moved to the seashore last year; and, now the rust seems to have excelerated. My question is about how to best repair the rear quarter-
panels. In my imagination, the entire rear end (except trunk lid) would need to
be replaced. Those of you who have done this; what do you recommend in
regard to specific panels. Or, do I need to focus on an excellent body shop
rather than "correct parts?" Both Coupes have the "typical" bubbles behind
the rear wheels. Thanks for any suggestions/opinions. I live about 100
miles from Boston and Providence , if anyone has a shop recommendation.

depends on the body shop really..

either way a good one will end up cutting it no matter what.

some body shops will make their own panel..
some will take a good one... or even purchase one new if available and weld it in.

you can not repair rust. If you try, you will fail.
For a proper restoration, rusty areas need to be cut out COMPLETELY and replaced with new metal. Rust is metal cancer ... without a cure.

That's a good DIY ^^^....but...Bondo fixes, even with surface rust using neutralizers, will not be a permanent solution. Especially if you live by the ocean, as the OP stated, the high moisture and salt exposure will eventually cause the rust to reappear. Stu is right about rust being cancer for metal, even a few molecules left on the metal will continue the oxidation process. Not to mention winter driving and salted roads. So I would definitely go with welding in new metal or all new panels for a permanent fix.
