Revisiting Lucas Oil and GM Synchromesh

A lot of people swear on Lucas Engine Oil Additive to stop the Legend from smoking. I used a bit ago, and it worked for me. I changed my oil about 2500 miles ago, and realized that I burn up almost a quart every 1000 or so. I didn't put in the Lucas when that change occurred, but I put it in instead of the oil. I've put 1800 miles on the car since then, and the oil level hasn't changed. I can testify first hand that this stuff really works. Lucas Engine Oil additive =

There was also a thread about using a combo of GM transmission and Synchromesh products to get rid of hard to shift gears. I tried this a few months ago, and didn't notice any difference. I couldn't shift from 4th to 3rd. I was taking a road trip this weekend, and was playing around on the freeway w/an RSX Type S, and lo and behold, the tranny made the shift! I was a bit amazed, so over the next 400+ miles, I kept doing it, and it worked. Synchomesh solution =

Haven't you heard?

Honda has a newly reformulated manual transmission fluid that is great! It completely gets rid of the usual 1st to 2nd gear grind.

For some reason I can't edit my original post? Anyway,

UPDATE 7/31/07: 6 months later and I still have full use of the tranny again w/no issues. I give this a BIG Seems like it took a while to settle in, but now that it has, I'm all smiles.

So, the Lucas oil stabilizer comes in quarts. How much do you put in at each oil change? What brand & weight of oil do you use?

I've always used just 1/2 quart w/each of the past 5 oil changes, but that's just me
