I haven't been on this forum a week or so but here goes...

Last Saturday night when I got home from work I was going to meet up with some friends to party. My friend said he would pick me up around 10:45 so I went home after work and got ready and after I was done about 10:20 pm I walked up to go to the front door but as I was going I heard a strange sound (I thought maybe it was my friend messing around or something?!) it sounded like some one was rustling with my mail box but when I looked out the window I was furious to see my dads rear window on his 2000 Explorer shattered to the ground and pieces. I ran into my Legend and drove like a mad man seeking to destroy the vandilizer but I didn't even know what I was looking for. While I was driving madly through my neighborhood I noticed a crack on my Legend like they shot a pellot on it. I came home after a a short ride ran and told my dad what happend because he was sleeping. I was furious and we checked are surveilance tape as we have a security camera and found it to be a new white tahoe(or Yukon) with tinited windows. They approached at the end of the street and paused (like they were scoping out the scene) drove slow in front my car on the other side of the street and went around the block. A moment leter there tahoe was on the TV screen and as they drove past my dad's explorer I saw a shadow of a hand reach out and take out my Dad's explorer rear window with a pellot gun or something. I'm assuming that they shot my car's windshield as they were driving slow but they didn't manage to crack it. The cops were called and I didn't know who it could be and I was beginning to think it was a group of guys vandilzing for the rush or something. As we were waiting for the cops I ran outside to look over the crack on my windshield and my dad's explorer. I completely spaced out my friend and saw him come to the stop sign. I ran to let him know what had just happened and my jaw dropped after I told him. ApparantlY someone did his car as well. I was beginning to feel like someone had a grudge against us. I think it has to do with the high school we both went because my brother had a problem with some guys (over a stupid girl that nothing was worth fighting for!) and he had vandalizing happening to his car left and right so that was why we got the camera to begin with. I am really ticked right now because someone apparantly has a problem with me and my friend but I can't figure out why???I try to get along with every one for this exact reason of vandalizing so I am left clueless. The cops collecting our tape so I feel that the police won't help us on this one and they got away with it. I know no one who has a Tahoe so who could it be. I am pretty sure it wasn't a coincidence that both me and my firends cars were vandalized so I am pretty sure whoever was in that car was someone familiar who I could recognize but I wish I knew who the little f'er was!!!!!I got my glass repaired today. It doesn't look as bad but it doesn't look as good before the vandilizing occured. I may take the law into my own hands and when I found out who did it let's see how much they like broken windshield or better yet without a car . Ii know two wrongs don't make a right I just don't want it to happen again and I will not let it if I knew what the best thing was to do. Those guys are a bunch of cowards damaging and running as they did. If they were REAL men and had a conflict or problem they would have knocked on my door and we could have settled it then and there. The only good thing of it is that they think they are anonymous. Atleast I know what they drive thanks to the surveilance!

Check your neighborhood/neighbors and see if anyone else's car got vandalized. If there were more cars that were vandalized then its just probably some punk kids messing around and having fun.

Sorry to hear about this situation. If this is NOT a random thing, the funny thing is I believe those type of people who hold personal grudges and do things like this are not very smart and probabaly will attempt to do something like this again. I would either buy another camera or repositin the one you have to get a better picture. As it stands, I don't believe these guys know you have a security camera so they probably would try and come back in a month or two.

K3RRY:Actually mine and my friends were the only one's. I checked around the next morning.

ChrisK: You know I think you are right. Actually believe it or not Ii bought my dad another camera for christmas but we haven't set it up yet. I agree with you. I think they wouldn't have done it if they knew we had a camera. Best to put the other one up and if it happens I guess we will catch them. The bad thing is the camera isn't too high resolution so I hope we could atleat get a a face on tape but I doubt it. LIC Plates would be nice to get as well. I was talking it over with my brother and law just now on how I want to find them and find where they live and do the same thing to them. They would probably s*it thier pants as they thought they were slick and got away with it but maybe not. It is all in the mentallity of these morans. They may want to have the "last word" and retaliate back even worse. I wish we had a garage but I guess upgrading what we have may be the best solution as I know I can't stop the world from turning. If it's going to happen I guess preparing for it is all I could do?!?

if you find out who it is.....just have the police go to his house and arrest the fool....since you don't know who this guy is....it could be some type of connection of these guys that have a problem with you. you never know

I had a similar thing happen to me about 8months ago with my Integra. Sadly, however, it ended up getting stolen after it had it's sound system amp, and subs all stolen within 10days of each other =(

People are crazy, if you had full covereage insurance then I suppose you can get it all repeaired for whatever your deductable is. It sucks that you can't have anything nice without worrying about someone screwing it up-but I guess that's the age we live in.
