This is sad but funny (ebay Legend)

Every once in a while I'll see this. A nice legend for sale on ebay, said to be in good running condition, etc...... Check the pic of the instrument cluster. See anything that's "not right?"http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2463079169

I lived in Santa Ana for 3 years. Used car dealerships are mostly shady in that area.

I especially like the black badging on the rear deck that they didn't bother to remove or mask. Very sharp. It looks like they painted that thing with a can of rust-oleum.

Edit: would it be unethical for me to email anyone who bid on that and clue them into its problem?

Edit again: nevermind.. no bids

This is not the first time i've seen a spiked temp gauge on an ebay Legend. That's a good reason not to buy a car sight unseen, since the people who write the descriptions likely aren't mechanics, and may not be looking out for your best interests. At least they took a pic with the engine running so you can see what's going on.

Wow, that's pretty bad. I certainly don't condone lying or selling $h!t to some poor unsuspecting soul - but if you have to do it don't make it that obvious!! I'll bet that car doesn't make it to its new home without letting loose.
