happens to me too, and I just got the brakes done in April at the dealership....but it only happens some times, not all the time, and its only when i *begin* to press the breaks, then it goes away when i press harder. I'm having them check it out tomorrow.

I replaces my front rotors and pads.. and i got ceramic pads and i'm not sure if the rotors i got were specified for ceramic.. mine screech everynow and then.. and i think it's because they are ceramic

brakes

yea mine do the exact same thing, i just got them checked out like a few weeks ago and i have plenty of brake left, so i don't know what to do about it. I tried cleaning them w/ brake cleaner, and that didn't help. I might just try replacing the pads, and using a lot of lube. let me know if you figure out what causes it, thanks

I had the same problem on my fronts and I took my car into Midas this past Saturday and they said the pads have at least 75% left on them and the rotors are fine. So, then they showed me the shims on the pads and they were coming off the pads, so they replaced the shims on the pads and re surfaced my rotors for me for 75 bucks and all is good. They said its common for these honda/acura shims to come off the pads and make noise. Shims are the little clip attached to the pads that hold them in place. FYI

You should remove the wheel, remove the caliper, and remove the pads and clean everything with brake parts cleaner ($2) You should be cleaning the slides, the pads, and the rotor. I'm guessing that the slides have brake dust build up and are not letting the pads come off the rotor. This happened the other day to my Mom's Prelude.

You should also be checking out the inner pad, as sometimes these will wear quicker than the outer pad. It's possible you could be cutting the rotor with the pad.
