Seafoam - Use it or not!
Hi There,
Is it ok to use Seafoam on my car, even with 132,000 miles in it? I've seen post where they say it is ok to use and others where they say is bad to use it on cars over 100K miles. Any comments? I'd like to know what's up before I use it this coming weekend. Thanks, AlexG |

lol i dunno what people mean when they say dont do it to cars older than 100k. the only possible reason why they would not recommend it is that maybe the components are old in your engine and the cleaning agent might harm the components..
but imo its all BS. my cars got 360+ k km's on it.. and i seafoam it ever 3 oil changes.. its one hell of a product.. definately makes a big diff.. and especially if your car has high milage you might aswell use it.. plus its an Acura.. not a Chevy... seafoam poses no threat to our engines !!! - after my first seafoam though i did have a small fuel leak at the rear.. easy fix, the cleaning agent maybe caused it.. but i saw teh line.. it was about to go anyways.. ( i dont know if the seafoam caused it.. but w.e) if the line was going to go.. it was going to go seafoam or not

i tried another product b4 seafoam called TKO .. same product ... but you have to be a fucking wizard to get it right.. there are 4 bottles.. and the instructions dont tell you the order in which to put them in.. and u have to buy a hose kit..
i said fuck it and just bought seafoam.. never tried it in the PCV valve.. sure it does the same thing? im in it mainly for the smoke show ![]()

sure...PCV is a vaccuum line, just like brake booster.... i love the smoke show..I live across the st from my old high school and the best way to get the youngbuck pricks off my block is to seafoam at 2:30 when school lets out... OMG the looks and stares and comments are priceless...but you know what, you don't like it, get the fuck off my block! ![]()

I wouldn't use sea foam on my car because it's a cheap product and it dries seals.

seafoam evaporates all your coolant almost instantly and changes the color of your headlight fluid BEWARE

just sucked up like 60% of a can and threw the rest into the gas tank. I'm at 221,659.2 mi. It didn't smoke at all when i was sucking it in the PCV or brake booster. After turning off the car and waiting 10 minutes and starting the car up again, I think it was the most smoke compared to any car I have seafoamed. I covered like two blocks with smoke, took a lot of driving to clear out some of the smoke. I have to replace the spark plugs tomorrow. NGK iridiums...
