Sneak pix... 18 wheel'n

I found a vendor in town who imports high quality JDM spec wheels. He just happens to have one set only of 18" x 7.5" and offset of.... +53! These specs are normally special ordered. Not only that, the rims are pressure cast aluminum weighing slightly under 20 lbs. With fatty rubbers of 225/40/18, each wheel was only 3 lbs heavier than stock. DOUBLE Jenny Craig would be proud of these numbers. This configuration maintained my previous 17" x 7" +48 setup. The wheels tucked perfectly, just slightly inside the fender wells with Koni kit and no camber... perfectly I mean at least to my mellow style.

They were mounted this morning and drove around the block for giggles. I snapped a few pics for reference.

Yeah... I seen your C2s. Those are sweet 3 piece wheels!

Pictures are sneak peaks until I update my Mellow Legend gallery. Here you go. I like the fact that the combo brought the Legend back to more of a sporty OEM look.

Another pic on Lexus, without lips of course.

Looks great (from what I can see)! Where is the source... is it in City of Industry by chance? Are they used/new?

Can't wait to see full pics.

Also... what perch settings do you have the Koni's on?

Thanks! They're from an alloy import shop in Alhambra, brand new in box(es).

Koni's on their standard perch out of the box - top in the front and middle on the rear.

Very nice, they look like they fit perfect. They may have just ruled out the 18x9"+56 wheels I've been eyeing for so long. I dont want to stick way out and +3mm aint gonna tuck the extra 1.5" of rim I was looking at, damn. Oh well, your car is looking great!

I ho, I ho, on the swap they go. You're right, less than 3 months and 2,200 miles on the previous set. Here's the link.

17" wheels & tires. Almost new!
